Score! Lucky Lehrer, drummer for Circle Jerks joined us tonight on Episode 105!
Before we introduced Lucky, Jeff broke the news that he would be playing the legendary Baked Potato in Studio City with the Pete Anderson Trio.
After that, we were excited to introduce the founder of DRUMSOME necklaces, made out of Switzerland, André Meier, who skyped in just after 4am his time. They are super cool! André started off making them because he broke a cymbal he was using, and hung a chard around his neck. He got so many compliments, he decided to make some more. These days, instead of hand making them, he laser cuts them from un-sellable cymbals he gets from drum companies. Check out these beautiful necklaces out of cymbal material at his website.
Then, we were joined by Lucky Lehrer!
Lucky reminisced about pogo-dancing, slamming and shows from the 80’s, before telling us about his creativity including duct tape and condoms (you’ll just have to watch). Then, we moved on to his drumming upbringing – prior to his punk days, where he shied away from disco and gravitated towards the Sex Pistols and this alternative thing that became punk.
Lucky actually dug up a picture of the New Orleans show where the singer had to be locked in a flight case because he was so drunk. Check it out!
