Drumsmack TV always loves bringing you live music during the show, and tonight we welcome LA based country band, Rye Brothers, whom our lovely host Jeff Sorenson has been drumming for since April of this year. They are garnering a lot of attention with their large repertoire of original and cover tunes and their willingness to travel the entire West Coast.
After the news with Jeff and Murphy (Brad was traveling tonight), where Murphy reveals his closely guarded green bean making recipe which prompted Johnny Cash to immediately jump off the wall, Jeff introduced the other band members Paul Justin, Justin Foutz & Jacob DeLoth. They kicked it off talking about the history of the band’s name (transitioning from River Road to Rye Brothers), and then a bunch about how the guys all met and the band formed. Apparently, lots of whiskey is involved…
The original intention was just to get out and play a show a month, but it quickly and organically grew to a half-dozen a month, and now it’s been 2 and a half years of non-stop gigs!
Segments 3 and 4 of the show bring you live music, so hunker down and enjoy!
