What a crazy night on Drumsmack TV! We had 6 guests including Mike Ciprari, Jake Bundrick & Guitar Center Drum-Off finalists (four of them!)
The show opened with Clyde Frazier skyping in from South Carolina. This is his second time in the finals of the GC #drumoff. Then we spoke with Jharis Yokley from Webster Groves, MO. He’s a Berklee grad and is ready for Saturday’s competition. After that D’Andre Gosey from Texas skyped in. He has also competed previously, but this is his first time to the finals. Then, during segment four, Shariq Tucker from the Bronx called in. He’s following up from making the finals last year, but is coming back this year to win it. And, if you remember from our previous show we had the 5th finalist Forrest Rice. Lots of steep competition!
After that Mike Ciprari, co-founder, president and CEO of SJC Custom Drums joined us. He literally arrived in LA today and came straight to the studio. What a beast! He told us that SJC is making moves. Major ones. While they are obviously still willing to work with your custom requests, they are determined to show you their vision: awesome sounding drums that they made before you asked them to. If you’re at NAMM this year make sure to swing by their booth, because they’ll be showing off.
Then, Mike’s buddy Jake Bundrick joined us. Jake plays with the pop-punk band Mayday Parade. We didn’t get to ask him, but he also owns a clothing line and is an extremely active vlogger.
This episode was all sorts of fun. Check it out below.
