Drumsmack TV Episode 37 – Hal Blaine

What an absolute honor to interview the one and only Hal Blaine. Featured on over 150 top ten singles, and over 40 number ones, Hal is one of the most prolific session drummers in rock n roll history. Jeff was fortunate enough to sit down with Hal in his home in Palm Desert.

Hal took us through his earliest influences growing up seeing shows at the state theater in Hartford, CT, to traveling to Chicago to study under the great Roy Knapp, to the birth of the Wrecking Crew in the 1960s. Not to mention he walked us through his impressive awards and honors cabinet! So many incredible stories from Hal that he’s gathered over his decades of work, and we at DRUM Smack could listen to him talk for hours. We’re sure you’ll feel the same way.

Until next time!
