What a killer post-NAMM 2015 show we had this past Tuesday night on Drumsmack TV! We bailed on the weekly news to have Ignacio Berroa skype in from New Jersey. What an honor! If you’re not familiar, he played for about 12 years with Dizzy Gillespie… Seriously!
Then, our dear friends Homero Chavez and Ernie Durawa joined us during segment two. If you’ve been following us @drumsmack on Twitter or on our FB page, you’ll know that we kicked it at NAMM with both of them. Ernie told us about his new album that is about to drop, and Homero filled us in on his cajon-ing. Yeah, we made that word up.
After that, Jonathan Mover made his yearly visit to DSTV since he was back in LA for, you guessed it, NAMM (of all things!) He told us about his new investment into the renowned Swing House Studios, which recently moved to Atwater Village, lots of musical projects he participated in, and he even spilled who’s going to be on the cover of the next issue of DrumHead Magazine… You’ll just have to watch to find out who!
Last, but not least, our co-founder, Tony Graci joined us back in the studio. Love it!
